Advantages of Car Insurance

My boyfriend had previously planned of selling his own car and getting a new one. I do not know as of yet if he is pursuing it but I can clearly recall he has frequently ranted that car insurance is a little expensive. He told me he still have to look for one insurance company that offers less payments but more benefits in favor of the car owner.
I think it is a must for car owners to get an insurance for the cars they own because they could greatly benefit from it. Take for instance my boyfriend's case. When hailstorm hit Sydney in November, Blacktown was the most affected area. His car was damaged. Good thing he got it insured. He paid only a little amount for the fixtures. Car insurance works for the advantage of car owners. Just always try to be on the look out for the best companies available in town.

I feel so honored and privileged having given this award by Elaine, Babette, and Mommy Ruby. Mommy Ruby cited my other blog and I truly felt overwhelmed by her description. If I may quote:

"I rarely comment on post, not unless if it’s very engaging. Her blog really makes me itch to comment. She has a mind penned with great courage. I like it!"

-Mommy Ruby

I appreciate Mommy Ruby for recognizing me in such a way that she thinks my posts are engaging.
Now it's my turn to choose my own list of kick ass blogger awardees:
  1. AZ Blogging: Uncle Che is on top of my list. I am so glad that I came across his blog. Such a very unselfish soul who always speaks from the heart. His wisdom on things never fails to inspire me through his posts.
  2. Mummy Diaries Blog: Tina is such a sweetie, young mum. I find her posts amusing. She has a style of always putting a smile in every blogger's face especially her post on the phone directory her mum owned for 10 years.
  3. Marriage and Beyond: When I was still a novice here in the blogosphere, Jennie's site is one of the few who inspired me to blog. I so admire her writing skills. I hope I could hone mine, too by reading her beautiful entries, hehe. Her blog is such a huge inspiration for believers like me.
  4. WorldInUrPocket : You've got to check out Sangeeta and her relevant articles. The first time I've encountered her blog thru Uncle Che's, I've admired her no-nonsense posts and the way she express herself.
  5. Make Money Online With Joliber: This 23-year old geek's zest for new things related with computer is inspiring. He is also rocking in the SERPS. Try to check it out, hehe! He is very kind and helpful. He has done lots of things for my blogs and his posts are very informative.

Manage Your Finances

I wrote an article in my other blog how I got my own checking account before and how come I have none as of this time. I don't see the need for me to get another account as of yet. But for business inclined individuals and for those who would want to manage the influx of money; where it's coming from and where it is being spent, Checking Accounts will be the best alternative to monitor and manage your finances. I am encouraging you to get your own checking account now. Some banks offer free checks, free check safekeeping, and free wire transfers.
Do check out the best checking account available and let me know how it worked for you.

What's With Number 8?

If you have failed to look at your calendar today, let me just remind you that today is August 8, 2008 (8/8/08). You may ask me, so what? Well, if you are Chinese or even if you're not but have strong beliefs for some of Chinese culture and traditions, then today would mean so much to you. It didn't came as a surprise to me that the Olympics, being held at Beijing, China, shall officially commence tonight at exactly 8:08 PM.
So why the fuss over this number? Well, in China and Chinese communities all over the world, number 8 means luck and prosperity. That is why it is no surprise that many people today worldwide are getting married, giving birth, and opening their businesses. It also meant social class status because in China, they have to pay extra if they want to have a number 8 in their phone number, plate number, bank account number, etc. It means you are a moneyed individual if you can afford the extra pay for that very special number.
I have read over a Chinese Astrology site that number 8 is lucky because "it has to do with the pronunciation of the word for the number 8 in China. It is pronounced "ba" and sounds like the word for prosperity which is pronounced "fa". Another reason why the number 8 could be considered lucky is because it is a perfect symmetrical shape. You can cut the number 8 in half vertically or horizontally, and both halves mirror themselves perfectly. Perfect symmetry lends itself to perfect balance. In Chinese Astrology, perfect balance is considered the ideal".

To Purchase or Not to Purchase

When I went to Manila, Baguio, Cebu and Bohol some years ago for exposure trips, I had a little problem preparing my things because I do not own my own luggage. I had to ask my friends to lend me theirs because mine was not that presentable and decent. That's when I saw the real importance of purchasing my own. Now I can see lots of luggages put on sale in the malls. I am very tempted to purchase everytime I get to see them but always tell myself: "Do not buy on impulse... Holt it! Hold it! ." I need to think twice because there is no need for me to buy as of yet. But I really need to purchase one sometime soon because prices are skyrocketing and luggages put on sale might not be that cheap anymore in the coming days.
