I Can't Resist The Oops

I vowed never to chase opportunities at one of the affiliate programs wherein one has to do the chasing. I do not have so much patience for that. But it is a little difficult to ignore the opportunities when the chasing is no longer done and yet the tasks are made available and offered on a silver platter. There is no need to do the refresh tasks countless times anymore. And the amount is just sooo tempting! If you know what I mean, hehe! I attribute this to having an imcrease in my Page Rank. I know I can't hold on to it for much longer. I wanted to savor the moment while it lasts. I hope the blessings won't ran out that soon.

I Am A Blogger!

For those of you who have been frequenting my blogs, you must be aware by now that I am so much passionate about blogging. It has become an addiction and eventhough I am quite busy with work which is on a 8-5 basis and preoccupied with a lot of other stuffs, I always find time to blog, or if not to blog, doing my usual daily routine such as replying on comments, reading and commenting on blogger's posts that are of interest to me, and dropping cards to more than a thousand blogs everyday... without fail.

My blogs are my babies. It never really came to mind that I would take blogging seriously to the point of contemplating on giving up my own job. I became really, really serious with blogging when I got my own domains April of this year. When I mean serious, it means I keep it updated at least once a week.

Though most of the things you read here is all about me, myself and I, I still would want to make the most out of your time by coming up with articles that are thought of. Everytime I make a post, I don't write them just for the sake of posting. And it's never for the sole reason that I need to write because I have an audience. It's all for the love of writing and expressing myself well through this medium.

If not too busy at work, I even draft those that comes to mind in random. But because of time constraints, I admit that quality articles is sometimes unattainable. People have always been talking about quality and content being king. But to me, it is subjective. If you think this blog is low in quality and I am just wasting your time, you can opt to never come back. But still, there is always room for improvement. I always want to improve as a person, as a blogger. I never cease in learning because it's the thing that I crave. I have learnt quite a lot from other people's points of view and the learning doesn't stop there.

The gift of friendship that I've shared with many of you here in the cyberworld has kept me motivated to try harder and improve. And because I've learned so much by being a blogger, I am sporting this shirt to shout to the world that I'm proud to be a blogger. This shirt was created and designed by the artistic hands of a very good blogger friend, Rosilie of Rosilie: My Blog, whom I had the privilege of meeting in the flesh during the 2nd Mindanao Bloggers Summit.

I Am Proud to be A Blogger from Mindanao!

October 25, 2008 was a red-letter day for the 2nd Mindanao Bloggers Summit participants. Bloggers from the neighboring cities and municipalities like Davao, Cagayan De Oro, Iligan, Koronadal, Polomolok, Sultan Kudarat, Tacurong, Alabel, and even as far as Zamboanga hurdled long hours of travel just to make their presence felt in this most awaited event that convened bloggers altogether.

The activity is also part of the E-Business week of the Department of Trade and Industry in this part of the region where different competitions were lined up to promote the competencies of the Mindanaoans.

MINDANAO BLOGGERS SUMMIT

The Bloggers Summit carried the theme: Mindanawon Paminawon Intawon: Blogging the Mindanao Consciousness. Different bloggers from different niches were binded together by one commonality- we are all Mindanaoans who wants our voices to be heard not only here in our beloved country but in the whole wide world as well.

BLOGGING: A POWERFUL MEDIUM

Since blogging activity heightened in the last couple of years, it has become a very powerful medium and a force to reckon with in terms of providing information in the cyberspace. Unfortunately, our beloved Mindanao was portrayed by media in a bad light which makes it unjust and unfair. We are so misunderstood in many ways.

A MINDANAOAN AT HEART

As a Mindanaoan myself, I am saddened by the fact that people outside Mindanao can see an image of our place as the haven of bloody war, terrorism, corruption, scandals and poverty. Mindanao has been my home since birth and I have no other place to call my home but Mindanao and I say ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! I want no more of those bad publicities! I want people to realize that my home is a beautiful place and it is a home where peace resides, business opportunities abound, with wonderful seascapes to boast of, plus the fact that the vibrancy of its economy is sharing a big portion of the country's national revenue.

EMPOWERED BLOGGER

The summit was able to empower me in more ways than one. I was made to understand that I have a vital role to play in shaping hearts and minds of our readers. I have the power to correct the wrong notions about Mindanao. I can use this powerful medium in transforming Mindanao not only as the Land of Promise but the Land of Fulfillment.

As a Mindanaoan blogger, I am posed with this huge challenge. There is a sense of urgency for me to move and do my share. Now I am all the more convinced that I really need to blog about the beauty of Mindanao. Instead of blogging more about myself, me and I, blogging the Mindanao consciousness is blogging more about issues, events, concerns, and dreams.

MY CALL

Let us heed the call for Mindanao. To quote one of the speakers from the summit: "Let us blog about how we can build the "WE" among Mindanaoans and not just "THEM" and "US". Altogether, let us generate synergy out of the Mindanao consciousness.

Mindanawon Paminawon Intawon: Blogging the Mindanao Consciousness

Everyone is excited and enthusiastic for the 2nd Mindanao Bloggers Summit. With barely three days remaining before the grandest eyeball of bloggers which GenSan City will be hosting, almost everything is all set. The Local Government of General Santos City is giving its all out support for the event.

The occasion bears the theme: "Mindanawon Paminawon Intawon: Blogging the Mindanao Consciousness." The MBS2 Organizers and Volunteers are working incredibly hard to make this event a successful and a meaningful one.

General Santos City will be hosting the Second Mindanao Bloggers Summit on October 25-26, 2008. When I've heard about this, I was a little hesitant. The event sounded like for pro-bloggers only and not for the noobs like me. But when I was able to personally speak with the Bariles Republic's blog owner, in the person of Mr. Avel Manansala, all my doubts and apprehensions vanished. He was able to convince me that this event is going to be the grandest eyeball for all Mindanaoan bloggers.

After it's success last year when all Mindanaoan bloggers convened at Davao City, GenSan is up to the huge challenge this time. The Tuna Capital shall be hosting this grand event and it shall be held at the Family Country Hotel and Convention Center. Past and present bloggers are being enjoined to participate. One must have a blog that are published in the following platforms:

• Multiply
• Friendster
• Imeem
• Any social networking site with BLOGGING Capabilities

Regardless of age, anyone can join as long as you meet the requirements set for registration.
